Xalca: managing carpet-washing orders
The operator enters the order, the driver measures the carpet at the customer's home, and the app calculates the area in m², works out the amount and produces a signed receipt. Payment is taken when the carpet is returned.
Who it is for
For carpet-washing companies. The owner sees everything, the operator works with orders and chat, and a driver sees only the jobs assigned to them.
What problem it solves
Orders come in by phone, measurements are jotted on paper and debts are kept in memory. Receipts and accounts get scattered across a notebook. Xalca keeps the order, the measurements, the payment and the debt in one place.
What is inside
Taking orders
The operator enters the customer's name, phone and address. When a returning customer's phone is typed, the name and address fill in on their own. The address can be picked on a map.
Assigning a driver
An order is given to a driver. The driver sees the carpets to pick up and to return, as well as their own daily and monthly history.
Measurements and price
The driver enters each carpet's width and length in metres. The app calculates the area in m², multiplies it by the price per m² and writes the return date on the receipt.
Receipt
The customer and the company sign on the screen, and the company stamp is added to the receipt automatically. The receipt is shared as a PDF, printed or sent by WhatsApp.
Return and payment
Payment is taken when the carpet is handed back, in cash or by card/transfer. If it is paid in part, the remainder stays as a debt and appears in the “Debtors” list.
Expenses and reports
The owner records salaries, advances, fuel, rent, tax and supplies. Income, expenses and driver statistics are shown for today, 7 days, 30 days and all time, and the general, salary, expense and income reports come out as PDFs.
Internal chat
There is a general chat and private messages, with unread messages counted.
On the phone
Sign-in with a PIN. The owner, operator and driver roles are separate. Changes update on every device at the same moment, and the app installs on the phone.
How to get started
Enter the order
The operator adds the customer's details and gives the order to a driver.
Measure and sign
The driver measures the carpets, the app calculates the amount, and both sides sign on the screen.
Washing
The order moves to the “Washing” status, and the return date is written on the receipt.
Return and payment
Payment is taken when the carpet is handed back, and any remainder is recorded as a debt.
Setup
The company name, phone and price per m² are entered at first sign-in. Staff are then added with PINs. Write to us to adapt it.
