Parent Academy: a 12-week programme for support at home
An online programme that teaches parents, step by step, how to work at home with a child who has autism, ADHD, speech delay, sensory or behavioural difficulties.
Who it is for
Parents of a child who shows one of these difficulties or already has a diagnosis. You can join even without a diagnosis.
What problem it solves
Between sessions with a specialist it is hard to know what to do at home. The programme gives a parent concrete skills week by week and a daily tracking routine.
What is inside
12 weeks, 6 stages
Getting to know and observing the child, communication, behaviour management, sensory support, social development, independence.
Video lessons
Each lesson has a video, written material and a short quiz.
Assignments
A parent uploads a video or note and the assigned specialist watches it and writes feedback.
Daily tracking
Sleep, nutrition, aggression, communication and task completion are logged every day.
Progress chart
The child's development is shown as a chart built from the logs.
Messaging
A parent writes to the specialist inside the programme.
Certificate
An electronic certificate with a QR code is issued at the end of the programme.
Three roles
There are separate panels for the parent, the specialist and the admin.
Parent Academy does not replace therapy, does not diagnose and does not prescribe treatment. It complements specialist support with steady practice at home.
